Natural window light can completely transform interior photographs, making guesthouses and Airbnb spaces feel warm, inviting, and authentic. It brings out the true colors, textures, and details of each room without making the images look overly edited. Bright, naturally lit photos also help potential guests imagine themselves enjoying the space. Whenever possible, I open the curtains, switch off harsh artificial lights, and photograph when the daylight is soft and balanced. I am a big fan of natural light because it captures a property at its most beautiful and welcoming.

Sometimes, it’s not about adding more light. It’s about knowing what to do with the light you already have.

I loved the way the afternoon sun moved through this Sea Point apartment, creating these beautiful shadows across the bed while the Atlantic sits just beyond the windows.

For me, hospitality photography is about more than showing a room. It’s about capturing how a space feels — the light, the textures, the view and those little moments that make someone want to be there.
