DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that NO photographer is allowed to shoot any Lifestyle Session during level 4. No Family sessions, no Births, no Fresh 48 sessions, no Maternity, no Newborn sessions. No Couples or Engagement sessions and definitely NO Weddings.

So why are there photographers working right now?
The ONLY photographers allowed to work during level 4 are (1) those who are employed by major companies such as Takealot, for example, who's regular job has always been Product Photography, and (2) those photographers who work for the media, who have always had a media/press pass and who have always gone out to photograph the political unrest in Khayelitsha, for example.

So why am I seeing photographers advertising photo shoots on their business pages?

Those photographers are risking themselves and their livelihood BIG TIME by advertising ILLEGAL sessions. They are NOT ALLOWED to offer ANY Lifestyle session during level 4. If they are caught, they will be arrested and fined.

But what about me, as the client?

If you book and shoot with an illegal photographer, you yourself run the risk of being arrested and/or fined too!
No one wants a Criminal Record. Think before you have a photographer come over to your house for a Shoot during level 4. It is NOT legal and definitely NOT worth it.

But I want a photo shoot, what do I do?

Support your photographer by buying a VOUCHER for a Future Session. I promise you, your support in them and their business will be greatly appreciated during this time when they are not allowed to work. Don't Risk your life or your photographer's life by participating in ILLEGAL shoots now.

This is a tough time for everyone but we need to stay safe! Please remember, it is ILLEGAL to do ANY Lifestyle Session during Level 4.
