How's everyone doing on what feels like Day 792 of lockdown?? I'm delighted to say I have done at least ONE useful thing with the weeks at home - after many months of good intention I have finally had the time and patience to renovate and update my photography website. And from June 1, I will be able to offer photography services for all Level 3,4 and 5 services including business, food, clothing and consumer goods and properties licensed for essential accommodation provision. Please take a look if you get a chance at

I've been a little slow in keeping up my daily photo challenge lockdown posts. Ive fallen off the wagon, missed a couple of sessions, and submitted a few 'meh' images. It's been a helluva challenge to think of new creative ideas, every day, in a lockdown space and a lockdown frame of mind. But its kept me distracted, and on my toes, and challenged - so thank you for the challenge!

Ive been asked by so many friends where my photos are, that I decided to share them with you and finish my 21 day challenge with a (little) bang. So here are my missing images, in no particular order :-)

Day 14 Lockdown photo challenge: Family
This is a miracle of coordination as opposed to a miracle of photography. This is us - in my favourite lockdown spot - the Fatsak which we've moved to the middle of the entrance hall where we get the best Wifi signal in the house :-) Lucky to be locked down with this bunch!

Day 11 Lockdown photo challenge: Favourite things
Definitely one of my favourite things on a cold, rainy day in Cape Town. Vino by the fireplace :-) Feeling very blessed to be warm indoors, with food and family (and wine!) during the lockdown.

Outdoor Photography Challenge Day 9: Motion
Capturing motion in photography is generally about freezing movement, or blurring motion using a long exposure. For this challenge, I decided to break the mould and experiment with abstract photography - exploring the type of imagery that results from intentionally moving (zooming) the camera while shooting a still object - in this case, the sun setting behind the trees in my garden. This series won't win me any photography awards, but I kind of like the movement and colour that the images capture.

I was looking forward to the Day 7 Lockdown challenge themed SHADOWS. I've been wanting to try this technique for a while now, and lockdown has provided a real opportunity to do some of the things we seem never to have time to for in our day to day lives. My go-to muse / model, Anna, gave me exactly 5 minutes of her time before her more pressing teenage pursuits drew her away, so I worked with what I managed to get in that short space of time.
