Over the December holidays we were spoilt with a free nights stay at the stunning Umzimkulu River Lodge in return for some images of the unit we stayed in.

This Lodge has always been so close to my heart, my Dad lives 2 minutes up the road so we spent a lot of time here growing up. I remember the delicious chicken pies, pudding and so on that we'd crave after spending our Sundays tubing in the river. I also remember spending quality time with friends & family here the evening before I got married on my Dads farm the very next day.

Bringing my kids to this special place just made my heart so happy. You can always guarantee that you'll be welcomed with big smiles and laughter from Steve & Lynne who have run this amazing establishment for some time.

So do yourselves a favour, go spend a night here - you absolutely will not regret it!

The colours in this stunning 1 bedroom unit are to die for!!! Situated just outside of Himeville you'll find this lovely self catering unit. It overlooks the Drakensburg, is extremely safe as its connected to the main house but has its own private entrance.
