O Tubarão Mangona, também conhecido como Tubarão Tigre da areia é uma criatura fascinante comumente encontrada nas águas cristalinas de Aliwal Shoal.
🔍 É conhecido por seus dentes irregulares e proeminentes, o que os faz ter uma aparência amedrontadora.
🐟 Um dos seus comportamentos é sua agregação reprodutiva. Durante os meses de inverno, como julho, esses tubarões se reúnem em grande número perto de Aliwal Shoal.
🎨 Essas criaturas exibem um padrão de coloração único. Seus corpos apresentam tons acinzentados ou bronze, com manchas e faixas mais escuras. Essa camuflagem permite que eles se misturem perfeitde sua aparência imponente, eles são dóceis. Nadam lentamente e ficam imóveis próximos ao fundo do mar. Ao se aproximar eles fogem para evitar qualquer contato com mergulhadores.

🐟 One of their remarkable behaviors is their reproductive aggregation. During the winter months, like July, these sharks gather in large numbers near Aliwal Shoal.
🎨 These majestic creatures exhibit a unique color pattern. Their bodies showcase a grayish-brown or bronze tone, with darker spots and bands adorning their sleek frames. This intricate camouflaging allows them to blend seamlessly with their rocky surroundings.
🏊♀️ Despite their intimidating appearance, they are generally docile and represents no threat for divers. They prefer a slow and deliberate swimming style, often hovering motionless near the ocean floor. They are quite gentle and tend to avoid interactions with divers.
