Dating psyche is so interesting. Of course if we talk about something cringe the expectation is to discard it and talk about less encroaching things.
My recent lens on family, friends and loved ones has been based on the unyielding fire of intimate relationships. If one can wrestle through conflict, uncertainty, evolution with a partner to achieve great outcomes, peace and happiness then blood, especially that of parents and siblings: defining relationships in our entire lives need more effort.
Seeing that we are able to put ourselves through extremes and go through that fire in one aspect of life, family should be easier right?
It’s important to note the general consensus around family, unity and trust.
Our locus of trust has moved from institutions, people and self into techno spaces which lack continuity found in the way God has created our lives.
Reading history it’s clear to see that humanity is constantly in shifts, from a laid-back civilisation to an industrial one, consumerism, pseudo-this-and-that but where is soul of the human and what should it be guided to?
In every aspect of our lives there’s an element of control and conditioning. Rationales that drive us but are they real?
