If this trunk could tell stories, it'll have a lot to say, judging by the skin blotch.

Experts believe that, an elephant trunk is strong enough to lift up to 350 kg, while highly precise to pluck individual blades of grass.

Often seen used for various purposes, like breathing, smelling, drinking, bathing, foraging, communicating, and even as a snorkel when swimming(I have witnessed this before).

The very same trunk has a powerful sense of smell, which allows elephants to detect water sources from great distances.

In the iSiZulu culture, elephant behaviour has weaved itself into the language, with proverbs that are inspired by this majestic animal:

iSiZulu Animal: iNdlovu
Common Clan/Surname: Ndlovu,Ndhlovu(RSA, Zimbabwe)

iSiZulu Proverb:
“Akukho ndlovu yasindwa umboko wayo.”
Translation: No elephant complains about the weight of its trunk.
Meaning: No challenge is too great to overcome.

Found mainly, if not ONLY in Africa, sighting them in the wild is one of life's greatest gifts.
Adults are known not to be too shy around human settlements in suburban areas, especially if there's food in those settlements.
