So this happenedā€¦

We got an enquiry for a Muslim wedding the other day and while the bride to be was explaining how the day would unfold, I was asking a few questions.

She asked :

ā€œHave you shot a Muslim wedding before?ā€

My answer: ā€œYes!ā€

Which got us wondering. When was our first one?

Cue a little trip into the archives.

Some places just make you breathe a little slower.
Be The Earth Foundation in Franschhoek is one of those places.
Peaceful, beautiful spaces to work, switch off and simply enjoy being there.
Yoga, cosy fires when the Franschhoek chill rolls in, picnics under a giant oak tree and the most glorious mountain views. A hands on outdoor classroom aimed at conscious eco living and sustainability. Events and conferences. Add to that an amazing dedicated team!
And from behind the camera, thereā€™s just so much to love. The light, the textures, the quiet little moments. It all feels beautifully unhurried.
A pretty special place to photograph.

What a perfect and beautiful day. A surprise elopement! 26 years in the making and 4 beautiful children later, Bieke and Peter decided the moment was right. Not even the kids knew about it until that very morning!

We froze our bottoms off with this amazing family, but the emotion made us forget all about the icy weather! No big fuss, no fancy outfits, just four layers of clothes , the beautiful Kagga Kamma backdrop, and a whole lot of love. We absolutely loved capturing this beautifully raw, laid-back elopement.

Four days behind the camera at Goedgedacht, and we completely fell for this place. šŸ¤
From the lush greenery and peaceful surroundings to the incredible views, every corner was a dream to photograph. The warm hospitality and delicious food made the long shoot days even better.
What stood out most was how effortlessly it caters for everyone. Whether itā€™s a family getaway, a weekend with friends or a larger group retreat, thereā€™s a space that fits.
Our favourite? Stille Waters. Right on the dam, with views that make you want to stay just a little longer.
If youā€™re looking for a countryside escape where you can slow down, reconnect and make memories together, Goedgedacht Farm is well worth the visit.

The moments we love capturing most arenā€™t always the grand ones, but the quiet in-between ones that tell the story.
Made even more meaningful because this family holds a very special place in our hearts.

Your guests book with their eyes long before they book with their wallets.
