They dont call it Jacaranda city for nothing. The most Jacarandas in any city in the world. Over 500km to be precise. Did you know they are an alien species and were going to be removed at one stage. Glad they weren't as they are beautiful.

So on our way to blanket our horses these past 2 days I have made friends with over 500 Nguni cows. They put on quite a display for me in this gorgeous Winter light. And all the dust they kick up makes the photos even more gorgeous. Hope you like these.

Ive never really been much of a Storm chaser. Getting good shots of lightning requires alot of skill and memory cards. This time the odds were in my favour. By far still my favourite lightning shot.

Durban Beachfront South Africa. I have so many fond memories on this beach front. From skateboarding as a youngster, to watching the Gunston 500 to surfing. Gosh great times. I remember when there was only the halfpipe on the beachfront and I used to go Skate at the Old Military museum. If we arrived first we could sweep it and skate the whole day for free.

What happened to Durban beachfront its just not the same anymore. Has lost its feeling !!

Still my favourite equine photo in terms of natural light. Pity the horse had a blanket on and there was only one. Guess horses get cold too !
