There are two aspects I focus on to increase the chances of that β€œmagical connection.”

The first is to absorb β€” broaden my general life experiences to build up the foundation of things to be connected, such as reading, traveling, learning new skills, talking to people, etc.

The second is to create β€” I regularly produce work to practice β€œhow to connect” or otherwise creativity can get rusty. The latter isn’t limited to design. It can be any form of creation, such as photography, writing, drawing and playing music.
