For the Love of Jordan!!!
Many of our clients will have most probably sat next to Jordan's devoted mom and dad in our waiting room at some stage. Jordan comes to our clinic five days (and sometimes six days) a week to see Deana.
Jordans Kidney Journey all started back in June 2020 . Jord was very sick, she had not eaten at all for days and she was not using her litter tray. She was even refusing to drink. She was rushed in to the local vet and immediately admitted. Tons of bloods, x-rays and ultrasound were done and a diagnosis of renal failure was made 😢
Jords stayed at the veterinary hospital and each vet that saw her gave a very guarded (negative) long term prognosis as one of her kidneys was grossly abnormal. Her owners really were losing hope until they met our Dr Deana.
In her moms words "Deana came along and everything changed she was our angel who had so much positivity and hope and faith in Jord recovering with our help. She sat us down and explained in detail that it was going to be a very long costly journey with lots of hard work. But we were definitely up for the challenge"
Jordan is on a very strict Renal diet (Hills K/D pellets and chunks), she has no table scraps and no human food. She only drinks bottled / filtered water with purified ice in her water fountain ☺️
Jordan is an indoor cat and lives quite happily with her brother Jasper. They really get on very well 🤗
Jordan comes in for her sub-cutaneous fluids 5 times a week, sometimes 6 times when it's really hot or she's having her bloods tests taken. Jordan has blood tests done on a monthly basis to make sure she's doing well and her kidneys are stable. 🙏
Diane, Jordans Mom admits that she's extremely spoilt - its Jordan's way or the highway 😂 Diane is with her every day all day long, she does everything for her, she really does try her best to give Jordan a good life by making sure she's healthy and happy ☺️🤗😘🙏🐱❤️
