There are only about 1000 left of these in the wild according to a study done in 2004. Very happy to have captured one on a recent visit to Hogsback.

We had a small flock of them descend upon a tree near our accommodation. They were feeding on the berries. I was so excited as this bird had been on my list to see and photograph for quite sometime.

So I know we are currently in summer but when sorting through my pics to decide on some pics for my upcoming calender I came across this autumn one and decided I needed to post it. I took in early in the morning in the Karkloof area in the Midlands. It's one of my favorite landscape ones that I've taken.
