I am really excited to be sharing this! Shane Chambers and I have been working on this production on the side line with a couple of other locals involved Dylan Lang, Dale Anson Hancock, Nikki Brighton. We get to tell the story about the day in the life a wildlife rehabilitation centre, ....and not just ANY old center.
FreeMe Wildlife is an organisation that is close to my heart. I am so proud to be apart of FreeMe Wildlife again and not just in in filming but as a director. This is what I LOVE DOING. Its my passion for conservation merged with filming & editing to telling a story. Wade Whitehead, and the team at FreeMe Wildlife do an incredible job. Their work is proof in this documentary. I am inspired by them every day and learn so much. It's is so awesome to market something you believe in and dream in the bigger picture.
Watch FreeMe Wildlife on CHANNEL 180 at the end of the month and catch a couple of other locals in the mix too.
At the end of the day I want people to invest in supporting our wildlife and help FreeMe Wildlife achieve this - You can be come a custodian. I am.

It’s good to have friends in HIGH places!!!! This year didn't start out as planned but the lesson that has been reiterated to me is "where there is a problem there is a solution".
So I managed to gently land my dam drone into the HUGEST BIGGEST GUM TREE EVER!!! I was in a panic and couldn't believe what I had just done but I knew there was one person I could phone to see if he could help. GAVIN RAUBENHIEMER from PEAK HIGH MOUNTAINEERING was the solution to my problem.
Thank goodness Gavin was home as he normally is gallivanting around the country side with his work and he had just got back from Cape Town. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if he wasn’t here and could have helped me - just rolled up in a little ball and sobbed!!?!? To be honest I don’t know what my next move would have been. (It could have been a worse scenario). It wasn’t the easiest tree to climb but Gavin has serious skills and I couldn’t have ask anyone better to do the job. Gavin you are such a biscuit. Thank you Thank you Thank you. To top it off i tested it two days later and voila it still worked - whew!!!
Ending point: I normally “fly like a chick”, keep it safe and always have a visual - I don’t know where my head was that day!!!

What a delightful video to do. It took a rather long time to complete due to Covid & lock down, but we eventually got it done.
Graham McIntosh is a fascinating character who has lead an interesting life. His house resonates his life and he invites you in to enjoy the creativity, colour and eccentricity. You leave wanting to come back and look at more.

Once again Dale Hancock came to the rescue in the time that is was immobile. He filmed and put this piece together for Wembley College in Greytown, working with what they wanted and produced a beautiful video on what the school is about. A video has huge value, especially in marketing and just by looking and reading the posts on the Wembley college page where they posted the video, it really worked.
Louise Yeadon who we worked with on this project was really pleased with the outcome and response and that's what we want.
Thank you Dale again. Its been such a privileged to work with you and you have taught me so much.

During my crazy breaking leg/being pregnant story last year, I was fortunate enough to have the help of a very patient buddy Dale Hancock to help me - well he pretty much did everything on this video and I tagged along!! Ok he did everything and I added my 5 cents and bossed him around ...just a little bit. It was such a privileged to work with Dale who has an incredible amount of experience. Thank you Dale for helping me out once again.
Anyway here is yet another beautiful project about uplifting people. That's What Mondi Zimele does. I just loved this concept up giving people the tools to run a business on their own. Understanding your finances being a fundamental part of a business. It was so good to meet and work with Laird Mitchell. We had many a Treaty coffee (of course) and good conversation. thanks a mill Laird for passing Siyanqoba on which was my next project. Which I managed to do with out dale as he was in Cape town filming! It was also so great to work close to my old hood Creighton. Thanks again Mondi Zimele, dale and the beautiful people i met along the way.

There is so much good that goes on just on our doorstep regarding development & upliftment. Siyanqoba really focus's on that and its awesome to see. I really loved doing this video..... and being back in the forestry hood. I studies Nature con at Saasveld which is a forestry college & I just love a pine plantation - although exotic (coming from my conservation back ground!!), they really have a therapeutic energy to them.
Ok so I got a bit side tracked there... have a watch and let me know what you think.

Here's a little happy clip to watch during this time of scary "Corona bombardment" on social media.

The beauty of making this video was that it felt like a "family production". We had the voice over artist, a camera man and an actor....and of course the behind the scenes Mom & Dad - who needs a medal for rising such savy, curious, confident capable, gorgeous kids.

Just a little tip for filming on your cell phone. Shoot in landscape mode (sideways!) - you get a lot more information in and it just looks better!
I have yet to see a portrait tv....I think there's a reason for that.
