Sometimes, leaving an unsafe situation isn't as simple as just walking out the door.
A woman might need to get herself and her children to safety, but what about their clothes? Their school bags? Important documents? Medication? The things they need to start over?
At SA Women Fight Back, we want to be in a position to help when that moment comes.
We're raising R120,000 to purchase a reliable second-hand bakkie that we can use to help women and children safely relocate when they find themselves in dangerous situations.
Because having somewhere safe to go is one thing.
Having a safe way to get there - with the things you need - is another.
This bakkie will give us the ability to respond when a woman needs help, without her having to choose between her safety and leaving everything behind.
