Meet Nugget ⬆️

She is a 4-month old genet that Stu and I rescued in December. She had fallen from the roof of the lodge and despite our attempts at allowing her mom to come and fetch her, there was no success. So we took her home and have been hand rearing her since.

She’s still a baby, and very dependent on us, but soon she will reach an age where she won’t need us and we are doing our best to set her up for success.

We spend plenty time with her outside, allowing her to climb trees and smell the garden, or playing cat and mouse with us - that’s when the real zoomies kick in!

She’s naturally nocturnal so loves an afternoon snooze. She is curious, affectionate and really keeps us on our toes!

This is typically an animal you wouldn’t see in the day time and I truly believe they are just so beautiful.

So here’s Nugget showing off how pretty genet’s can be - I hope you feel the same!
