My parents first time seeing lions 🦁 💙

This was a special moment for me. First time in the park with my folks ,and watching the absolute joy in their eyes when pride of adolescent lions crossed our path just put everything into perspective.

It’s a timely reminder not to take these special encounters for granted.

The Cats Whiskers.

The extremely relaxed Mazithi Male, was keen to show off to his lady. Doing his best to look cool, he shot off more iconic looks than Zoolander 🤣.

Massive Bull on Musth

Huge head, massive tusks, larger than life presence!

This bull elephant was in the midst of musth, sweating from behind the ears and urinating with almost every step.

We were careful not to get in his way. Better to just let the big guy be.

Giraffe Delivers A Sledgehammer!

Even the gentlest of giants has a dark side.

Fueled by testosterone and driven by dominance, bull giraffes can engage in fierce battles for status and breeding rights.

After sizing up his rival, this bull unleashed a blow powerful enough to make us jump.

The sound says it all.

But on this occasion, the other giraffe was unmoved , almost as if he was saying “Is that all you got?”

The bully retreated 🤣.

Giraffes ! Elegant one moment...
A sledgehammer the next.

Mastering Stealth

Every step matters.

She approaches cautiously, in search of her favorite meal, a hare.Silent and focused, every muscle is tense, like coiled spring waiting to be unleashed.

Practice makes perfect , especially for a young cat trying to survive in this harsh environment.

To do so, she will have to master the art of the stalk.

The Lion’s Perfect Ambush…almost

Every movement was calculated.

Focused with deadly intent, the lions moved without a sound. Using the safari vehicle as cover, they crept toward the unsuspecting targets.

The ambush looked perfect.

But survival in the bush depends on more than just eyesight…

The frantic alarm calls of the guinea fowl shattered the silence.
And just like that, the sounder scattered.

Tails up, Kasongo lived to see another day.

A hunt that seemed inevitable was over in seconds.

Near… yet so far.

Mongoose are clever creatures,

Always looking for some angle….

like a conman, but with a bushy tail and sharp teeth.

This fellow knew just how to use the

Zebra Crossing.

Puts some humans to shame 🤣🤣
