Six years ago I hosted my first Mother’s Day photo sessions. I had no idea what I was starting.

What followed has been some of the most joyful, tender, laugh-filled mornings of my career. Mothers and their people, 15 minutes at a time, being seen and celebrated. I never imagined we’d still be doing this or that it would mean this much.

Year six. And I can’t wait.

Motherhood is the most important thing you’ll ever do. You deserve to have it documented.

I’ll photograph you with the people who made you a mother in 15 beautiful, unhurried minutes. Then you’ll walk away with 15 images and a R150 Muse voucher to enjoy a coffee and something delicious while you’re there.

Some of the best stories start off the record …

We decided to keep this pregnancy offline this time, and it felt so special to have it be just ours. What fun we had sharing the news with friends and family, strangers and acquaintances, all in real life 🥰

It was such a gift to live in the moment without feeling like I had to post every part of it. In a world where it’s become so normal to overshare, it felt sacred to keep our happy news to ourselves until the time was right ❤️

That being said… I couldn’t not share a few maternity photos now that the news is out — captured so beautifully by the amazing ✨

Lately, everything feels a bit upside down.
The world feels heavy 😞 and in my own life I’ve caught myself trying to hold it all together - striving, performing, trying to control things that were never in my control (if I’m honest).

It’s all a bit much.

And then… I step into a space like this.
A quiet home. A brand new baby.
Two parents completely undone by love.

And I remember: Jesus is still here.

In the mess, in the stillness, in the ordinary.
He never asked me to carry it all. Just to come. To rest.
To notice the beauty right in front of me.

And that changes everything.

Maybe you needed the reminder too.
