What a joy it was not only shooting this delicious skincare brand, but also being able to use it. I took some quiet time in nature, on the very land these products were crafted, to soak my skin in smells, oils and clay inspired by the natural world around me.

NUNA | African Botanical Natural Skincare has a special story of it’s own and it was delightful getting to work with this brand. I am now a long term customer. ☺️ I had days to find inspiration from the river, the beach and the plants in the area. Hours to play with each product hoping to really capture some of the brands honest essence. Rooted in ethics, these environmentally and human friendly products are crafted with such love and attention. My favourite type of project to story-tell alongside.

Grubby pawed and messy mouthed little Kai with his mama and his Pepino melons.

I loved the realness of this session, at home in the garden, the light getting low, mosquitoes buzzing about with the moon waxing in the background. Just a calm but curious evening learning and growing and delighting in nature. My favourite way to shoot, capturing those honest moments at home.

A winter stroll in the countryside with this sweet family. This was a family shoot from long ago, but I still remember the fun, playful energy of the day.

Often winter can feel bleak and bland, but this walk highlighted how clean the air can feel, how some trees lose their leaves and others keep their emerald greenery. The natural connections taking place between each family member as we all let our guards down in search of inspiration from nature.
