Toe ek die klein houtkissie oopmaak by Voëlklip, was die woorde binne: "Ons mis jou."
“Ons mis jou…”
Wanneer ek by Voëlklip teen die kranse afklim, ontdek ek dikwels interessante goed wat die see of tyd daar agterlaat.
Maar hierdie keer was dit anders… ’n klein houtkissie met ’n briefie binne-in: “Ons mis jou” met ’n datum daarop.
Mens kon sien die kissie lê al lank daar. Miskien het die see hom weer een dag uitgespoeg, asof die herinnering net weer bo moes kom.
Dit laat mens dink… uiteindelik bly daar van ons net herinneringe oor. ’n Foto hier en daar, ’n paar gedagtes, en die mense wat nog van ons praat.
So dalk moet ons nie so skaam wees vir die foto’s waar ons hare deurmekaar is nie.
Dalk moet ons tog maar in die golwe spring, al het ons nie ’n model-lyf nie.
Want die waarheid is: die lewe wag nie vir die perfekte oomblik nie. Ons moet hom leef, nou, voluit, vir onsself en vir die mense wat eendag ook sal sê:
“Ons mis jou.” 🌊
