Came across a dead baby giraffe that was killed earlier in the day on our neighbouring farm. Puncture wounds on the throat indicated the culprit to be a leopard so the cameras were put out to catch him feeding on it later in the night. Unfortunately the hyenas found it and the leopard didn't return. Still, nice to get the hyenas feeding through the night.

A young caracal making a chance crossing in front of the camera trap yesterday afternoon. Being able to get the images sent back to the computer wirelessly really does take a lot of the schlep out of checking them. Also, leaving the cameras out for longer without checking them physically means no nasty human scent... and relaxed cats walking by...

Here a herd of elephants took an interest in a salt block that we had put out for the antelope. They played with this "Elephant Rubik's Cube" for about half an hour - all caught on film of course...

The local male leopard doing the rounds. Fantastic to get these images via email within seconds from the camera traps. Now to see if the hyenas are following him...
