CATHKIN PARK - I had the privilege of staying in the Drakensberg for a month and I can honestly say that it is the place where you go find peace....

Mostly because you don't find stable WIFI around 😉 but walking outside and staring at the mountains with you morning coffee does enough to take the edge off....

Big thanks for Drakensberg Brewery for the extra calories...it was worth it!!!

Living the “digital nomad life” like I do I decided to start a little “side quest” to highlight the awesome places I’ve had the privilege to stay at during my travels –

First (but actually 3rd) is .on.WhiskeyCreek

Tucked away just 15min from Plettenberg Bay is an forest getaway that will make you forget all about the city.

Started by the always friendly Sue and Albert, their fully sustainable cabins are truly wonderful.

Completely surrounded by evergreen trees you’ll soon get swept away by the peace and quiet.

I was able to stay there for a month and I had everything I needed!

Go and be amazed!

ROBBERG NATURE RESERVE - 2/2
Walk the whole way and you will reach a beautiful sand dune which leads to the western side of the reserve. This is the ‘wild side’ and its beauty is rugged and spectacular. Robberg is rumored to be one of the only places in the world to view great white sharks, from land, in their natural habitat.

This was such a great privilege it was for me and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this!!

It is one of the most recognisable and traversed peninsulas in the world.

The beauty of Robberg Nature Reserve is iconic and if you happen to find yourself in the area of Plettenberg Bay, you absolutely must visit.

Choose to hike the different trails, each with its own degree of difficulty, but all with unique beauty and scenery.

This experience is unlike any other coastal encounter.

The hike to the Sleeping Beauty Cave is spectacular. The first 3kms are pretty gentle with the last 1km on a fairly aggressive gradient.
Some hikers actually bring their tents and spend the night. It's that big!
If you're in the Underberg area, put this one on the list!!
