This was the rainiest wedding I have ever photographed - but definitely one of the calmest brides I’ve ever worked with.
Her dress arrived just two hours before she walked down the aisle, and it was the very first time she tried it on. The entire ceremony had to be moved indoors, and their confetti entrance happened in the pouring rain. You’d think it would have been overwhelming… but I can say with complete confidence that nothing stole her joy.
She had the time of her life - and so did her guests!

I like having something on in the background while I’m editing. I’ve tried podcasts, but I end up getting too interested...

I like having something on in the background while I’m editing. I’ve tried podcasts, but I end up getting too interested and forgetting to actually edit. So I usually put a series or movie on instead. After a while though, I get a bit tired of all the skop, skiet en slaan, the dramatic medical diagnoses some intern just magically figured out, the small-town chaos over a birthday party or yet another news anchor getting arrested.

It’s gotten to the point where I can predict the ending before the problem has even properly revealed itself - a talent my husband says I should probably keep to myself before I reveal how many professional hours I’ve spent logged in front of a screen, but in my opinion it comes with the territory.

So when I get a bit tired of all that that’s when I go back to something I’ll always enjoy, a good princess movie. I just finished watching the original Swan Lake, and I simply had to share more from this beautiful wedding I had the privilege of capturing at Swan Lake Corner 🦢

When I think of Shelby and Armand, I think of the way they adore Shelby’s grandparents, the tenderness in their voices when they spoke about them, the love and kindness woven into every word. The way their eyes kept drifting to them on the dance floor. The quiet look they shared after the ceremony. It was pure, heartfelt, and deeply moving, they had me in tears. It was such an honour to be present on their wedding day, and I will forever be grateful to witness a day filled with so much love ❤️
