A dreamy, romantic afternoon with Margeaux & Rouseau, who will be tying the knot later this year. After this session, I’m even more excited than I was before.

I can’t stress enough how valuable an engagement session is. It’s your space to get comfortable in front of the camera, to settle into each other, and to realise it’s not as daunting as it feels at first.

I always tell my couples this is your time to play.
To be creative, to try things, to move, to interact.
To enjoy being in front of the camera before the wedding day, where 80–100 people are watching.

Your wedding day is about documenting what unfolds.
Real moments, real reactions, everything as it happens.
But an engagement session? It’s a creative celebration of this season of your life. 🥹💕🤞🏻

This one felt regal, editorial, and so collaborative.
I love when couples meet me halfway with ideas, energy, and openness. It always becomes something more.

Monique & Dolf got married in the Maluti mountains a few weekends ago, with incredible views… hidden behind rain most of the day. I know, how sad? and definitely not what they envisioned for their wedding day…. It started right as we were shooting the decor & groom in the morning and carried on straight through the night! I immediately told them that I am not scared of rain and that we will ofcourse make every moment count to get all the beautiful moments captured for them. So we worked with what we had, making the most of every indoor corner and cranny we could find on the farm. (It wasn’t easy, but it worked)

And when the rain eased, even just a little, they were game to run outside with us for short bursts. We even had 10 minutes of NO RAIN at the couple shoot! What?? Thank you Jesus!!!

Needless to say, Francois and I were absolutely soaked by the end of it & we loved every minute. And these two have gorgeous photos to show for it, just because they soaked up the moment (literally) and enjoyed it dispite their picture looking a little bit different…

Sooo…rain on your wedding day isn’t the disaster people think it is ☔🤍

Your couple portraits are MORE than just photos 🥂👆🏻

While everyone is celebrating,this is often the first moment the two of you get to step away and just breathe together.

The couple shoot isn’t only about photos. It’s about walking hand in hand, letting the day sink in, and having a few minutes where it’s just the two of you again.

Some couples talk about the ceremony, some laugh about the chaos of the morning, and some just stand there holding each other… realizing they’re finally married.

The photos happen naturally in between those little moments. And often, they end up being the most meaningful images of the whole day.
