Lazy sunny days

The must be one of the most underrated reserves for leopard sightings. On a lazy sunny day we enjoyed this female on the banks of a dry riverbed, having spent the whole morning tracking her without success. Nonetheless, there is no stopping the tracking efforts and she spoilt guests with yawns and a spread of vocals before stepping of the bank in regal fashion.

Stripes and fights

It happens frequently that one passes zebras by on game drive as they are such a common species in the African landscape. However, as a guide it is critical to understand animal behaviour, allowing you to recognise when "something different" is about to happen.

Zebra males coming to drink happens to be such a situation. Always wary of Other stealing their ladies, they often engage in some form of fighting...

World leopard day

Would you believe it, a whole day to celebrate these magnificent cats!

Whilst today didn't deliver this quality sighting, on another it was possible to capture this lady in all her royalty.

Caught... In action

On a recent afternoon safari with my food friend and tracker at the time we found this Fish Eagle that just caught a fish. In typical style fish eagle style the fish was ripped to shreds and swallowed down.
