On a recent safari for pangolingamelodge we got a troop of super chilled monkeys playing around our vehicle. In a moment of chaos, this chap took a moment to think... about the next round of mischief!

Moments like this reminds us that it isn't just about the larger animals on safari.

Challenging captures

Every now and again I get a perfect cat to photograph, like this female leopard on a recent safari in Pilanesberg National Park. Unfortunately, human error sometimes make a mistake on the capture, which leads to a challenge in getting something workable out of the photograph. In this instance, turning this stunning female black and white makes the photographer look slightly better, despite the jitters when she walked straight towards us!

Eagle eyes

I often envy the birds that gets spoilt with landscape views of Africa. This majestic Black-chested Snake Eagle delivered a fly-by whilst we tried to catch a glimpse of leopards mating. I wonder, did he get a better cat view than us that day??

A Pilanesberg Road Block

On a recent morning in Pilanesberg National Park we spoilt our guests from pangolingamelodge with a classic road block. A pride of 7 lions marched down the road towards us, led by this massive female. Clear intent, willing pride and fantastic photo opportunities for us.

Working in the wild stays the biggest privilege, and mornings like this emphasizes that big time!
