Meet , a Johannesburg-based creative duo capturing authentic stories through film and photography. 📸🎥

"SOULTIES PRODUCTIONS is a production house based in Johannesburg, South Africa. We focus on high-quality, contemporary, and captivating videography and photography that emphasizes visual storytelling.

We are a team of two creators - one a Qualified Film-Maker/journalist & a Qualified Sound Engineer. Journeying since 2021, we evolved into creative producers, drawing inspiration from the vibrant, authentic, and energetic aesthetics of South African culture and city life experiences. Our approach is defined by an emphasis on “Real Time Perspective,” delivering a raw yet refined authentic visual experience for various types of artists. Such graffiti artists, fashion designers, musicians, makeup artists, dancers etc. Intending to combine various art forms together into a visual style perspective.

We typically focus on music visual production and editorial/portrait photography. It captives as it provides a creative, frequently rule-free space to visually express the art of music through dynamic, artistic, and cooperative filmmaking. It enables us as creator to explore storytelling through exploring different lighting techniques, lenses, and storytelling without the rigid technical limitations of narrative films, acting as an effective, fast-developing visual evolution.

We are presently utilising the Sony A7iii and the Sony FE 50mm F1/8 lens to capture all our visual content and experiences. This setup has provided a pleasant experience as it allowed us to produce professional-quality video content for websites, intimate artistry on social media platforms, in 4K resolution at up to 30 fps. Additionally, it is great that it supports S-Log2/S-Log3, HLG, and 8-bit color, paired with excellent dynamic range, enabling professional-quality color grading to create a distinctive look."

"After 17 years in Corporate South Africa I gave it all up to start Safaria Privately Guided Kruger Safaris in 2016. This was my own pursuit of passion and purpose and have been successfully guiding clients ever since.

I'm considered a specialist savanna guide focus on a narrative that brings knowledge and skill with history, heritage and the ancient African wisdoms of the area. My primary focus is Wildlife, Birding & Photography. I am a Birdlife South Africa recommended operator and guide Bird Groups for most of the major birding operators worldwide through Kruger. As such I am a Swarovski Ambassador and sponsored by them.

I was previously a Canon client but have recently purchased a Sony RX10 IV which I have ben using to capture images from my client safaris. I love the Sony product and here are a few Images I have captured over the past few months.

None of my images have gone through any post production other than the magic wand on my apple Mac. I do not have Lightroom or similar and don't manipulate my images in any way further. I like the idea of being as close the best angle as possible, reading animal behaviour, getting the shot and letting the quality of the camera speak for itself in the image."

Shoot Faster. Think Bigger. A Fitness Photography Workshop With Henry Marsh.

Capturing the perfect fitness image is all about timing. The split second where movement, energy, and emotion come together. But for years, photographers have had to choose between speed and detail. The Sony Alpha Universe Fitness Photography Workshop is set to challenge that idea by putting the Sony A7R VI into the hands of creators and showing what is possible when you no longer have to compromise.

Hosted at F45 Training Clubview in Centurion and led by South African commercial photographer Henry Marsh, this half-day, in-person workshop brings photographers into a real-world fitness environment, giving them the opportunity to experience the capabilities of the Sony A7R VI in action.

The workshop will include a live demonstration, hands-on camera time, and an image-review session showcasing the A7R VI’s recomposition capabilities, demonstrating how photographers can capture moments with flexibility and precision even after the shot is taken.

Leading the workshop is Henry Marsh, a South African commercial photographer with over a decade of experience creating work for both local and international brands. His portfolio spans automotive, editorial, fashion, and product photography, with a signature style built around clean composition, controlled artificial lighting, and purposeful storytelling.

As a Sony collaborator, Henry regularly hosts workshops across South Africa, helping photographers bridge the gap between understanding their equipment and using it effectively in real-world situations. His approach is practical, detail-driven, and focused on working efficiently.

The Sony Alpha Universe Fitness Photography Workshop is an opportunity for creators to experience how innovation, speed, and resolution can come together to capture every moment with precision.
