There is never the perfect time to book a session.

You’ll always find a reason to wait until you feel more ready, more confident, or until life becomes a little less busy. But the truth is, these fleeting moments are happening right now.

Photography is about so much more than preserving a memory. It’s about giving yourself permission to slow down, to be present, and to see the beauty in a season of life that may otherwise pass unnoticed.

My sessions are gentle, unhurried, and deeply personal. There is no need to perform or be anything other than yourself. Just space to breathe, to connect, and to exist exactly as you are.

I love finding magical and unexpected places to shoot your session. Sometimes it’s a hidden corner of your garden, a favourite room in your home, or—in this case—a stop in Renier’s aviary at San Gabriel.

Conventional? Not at all.

A little wild, wonderfully weird, and completely unforgettable? Absolutely.

Created from black and white medium format film and transformed into Polaroid lifts, this artwork exists as a completely one of a kind piece. The colours seen within each image come directly from the Polaroid emulsion itself — no digital manipulation or additional alterations have been made.

Each individual Polaroid lift is delicately guided through water and carefully transferred by hand onto Fabriano paper, allowing the emulsion to fold, stretch, and settle organically in its own way. Made up of 36 Polaroid lifts, the final work carries the unpredictability and fragility of the process within every fragment.

Each square was intentionally manipulated and positioned to flow into the next, creating its own rhythm, movement, and energy throughout the piece. The artwork becomes a conversation between fragments — each image holding its own presence while simultaneously forming part of a larger whole.

No two lifts can ever be recreated the same, making this piece entirely unique and impossible to replicate.

Come with your babies and join me for a beautiful morning on the farm in Stellenbosch. We’ll begin with an opening cacao ceremony, a moment to arrive, soften, and settle into the day.

You and your little ones will have a discounted mini photo session on black & white film — one roll of honest, timeless memories to keep.

We’ll share a nourishing meal together, surrounded by nature, beauty, and gentle space to just be.
