Protea Video Club Video club in Somerset West to learn about making videos, share your knowledge and expertise, and participate in the club's activities.

The Protea Video Club started in 1992 as the Hottentots Holland Video Camera Club, but was renamed to Protea Video Club in 2003. Monthly meetings are held at the Killberry Hall in Helderberg Village, Somerset West on the second Saturday of every month. The aim of the club is for members to learn how to make videos, how to improve making videos, to share their knowledge and experience about making

videos, and to participate in the club’s activities. Activities include special projects where members work together to produce a video, topics for 2-minute videos, that members can produce, screening of videos that members produce, workshops on video making topics, presentations by experts on topics related to making videos.

On Saturday 8 Feb 2020, the Protea Video Club had a live demo of Virtual Reality by Ruan Rothmann from Free Lives. Members got the opportunity to experience this first hand and keep all the onlookers well entertained.
