It all started in Stellenbosch when she was studying social work at the university. Stellenbosch is a vibrant, lively, diverse and beautiful place - both nature and people make sure of that. She began with the photography of resident functions and soon escalated to capturing university formal dances and some of South Africa's top school's matric farewells. When not out capturing functions she enjo

ys the calmer sessions with couples, children and families. "Photography is not about pictures, it is about moments." As photographer this is what she strives to capture. Her sessions are fun, creative and uplifting. In 2013 Maresa got married to her best friend, Sven. They now live in the small and friendly town of Uitenhage in the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan where she continues her career in photography.
