I am inspired by shooting great photographs in great places – producing images of places and events which show off to people what a great world we live in. I strive to provide companies, sponsors, lodges, hotels and advertising agencies with powerful imagery to promote their product, and events, the best way possible and in as many mediums as possible. Over the last 8 years I have produced high qu

ality imagery for numerous local and international companies and brands, being used for advertising, commercial and print media (magazines and newspapers). In the process of capturing these images I have always driven myself to shoot unique, creative and captivating images, always trying new methods and angles to provide the client with the best image possible. Wanting more control of my online persona, I studied website development and have been offering this service as an add-on for the past 10 years. I plan to concentrate more on this side of the business in future, hopefully helping other digital creatives to offer a quality online experience for thier clients, and thus help build their businesses. My commercial services include:

Nosy Be, Madagascar (Part 2)

Nosy Be offers some fun activities other than diving. One of these is to visit the island of Sakatia, which is just a short boat ride from Ambaro Beach. The amazing thing here is turtles visit a small area to come feed off the seagrass. Not hand fed, free to go .... Loggerheads and Green turtles frequent this small area and appear to be less hassled by the presence of snorkellers and freedivers. Mostly at a depth of a couple meters, these animals go about their feeding not too fazed about the human intruders (although the Green turtles seem to be more aware than the loggerheads).

So a fun arvie out with some great photo opportunities.

Nosy Be, Madagascar (Part 1)

I have been wanted to visit Madagascar for several years now, and I finally made the decision to go. We made it a family trip too, so less diving, but it was enough to get a feel for the area. Unfortunately the timing was a little off, due to it being spring tides, thus higher than normal currents prevented us from diving some of the preferred spots, but we still managed to do some incredible diving.

Tanikely Island was the highlight! A marine reserve, so no fishing allowed. And wow, the marine life was exceptional. So good that I went back twice. It's my type of diving, where you can push all the way until the tank is almost dry, do you safety stop while still photographing, thus maximising bottom time.

The diving closer to the main Island appears to be more like muck diving, macro at it's best, searching for critters hiding under ledges and out in the sand. Seahorses, to frogfish, ribbon eels to clownfish, and not to mention the nudibranch's. Excpetional macro opportunites!

Thanks for Daniella from Double Deep diving center for doing her best to find all the critters, and Chris from .diving.nosybe.madagascar for finding my frogfish again.

Anyone keen on a dive trip to Nosy Be, let me know as I am always keen to go back!

Wildride SA 2025

2 Days down, 2 more to go! Riding along the Wildcoast of South Africa, or in my case, flying, has been epic as always! Dolphins, whales and epic trails. Gailforce winds and squalls have kept things exciting too, and added to the steps count when the helicopter was grounded. But this coastline has to be the most beautiful in SA, and being so privledged to experience it in this way.

Kruger continued …

Another 2 incredible days of game viewing! We moved from Crocodile Bridge to Skukuza and the viewing just became insane. Leopards, lions, lions hunting, lion cubs and all the fascinating animals in between. We then headed north to Olifants Camp. En-route go to watch a pride of 15 lions trying to hunt a herd of buffalo, only to get some of their own medicine back - the main bull having nothing of it.

Kruger Park…

Family vacation to Kruger Park has always been a successful affair. Things started off slowly but eventually heated up in more ways than one! From cheetah, to Lion and leopards and that was just in the first 2 days.

So, is anyone still keen for a little Dive Adventure in Nosy Be, Madagascar?

Undoubtedly offering some of the best diving off the East Coast of Africa, with subjects ranging from Whalesharks down to the tiniest of Frogfish, with a few wrecks thrown in to the mix. And not only is there phenominal diving, Madagascar is also known for it's incredible and interesting terrestrial wildlife.

The initial few people that were keen have bailed for this year. But i am still keen to try put together a fact finding mission, to gather some intro imagery and footage, and just have a blast diving, and seeing some terrestrial animals only found in Madagascar. Hopefully we can still get accommodation and boats, but want to see if anyone is keen before I start planning again.

So please contact me if you are keen. There are finally direct flights again to Nosy Be from JHB, which makes travel a lot easier and cheaper. The planned time for travel would be around 28th Oct - 3rd Nov, which is the peak whaleshark season.

So drop me a mail, or whatsapp me for me details.

Please share with Friends and Family whom you know may be interested.

SA Lifesaving Champs ....

One of the iconic events in , the Flags event. It's all about speed & reaction time. There has been some incredible at the SA Lifesaving Champs this year, just unfortunate for the poor weather and other factors that the Champs has been cut short.

Dusi Canoe Marathon 2024 was one for the books!! This is probably my 15th Dusi, being part of the media team, and few can compare to this year. It started off with a magnificent sunrise, heading in to the Valley, to take on what is arguably, the toughest paddling race in South Africa.

Day 1's racing was hot, not only on the river but in the Valley. Temepratures soured to at least 38 degrees by 11am. I think there has only been one other time where on Day 2 it got as hot as it did on Thursday.

Day 2 started with pandamonium. All access roads in to the Valley had been blocked by protests, so we had to take a circuitous route which took 1.5hrs to get to the start. Then as a result the start was delayed for more than 2hrs while things settled, although many still on edge. Dave (my motorbike rider) and I meanwhile, hiding in the bush, not wanting to attract attention from the rioters! Finally the paddling started, but only for me to get a msg from Dave to say it was time to go as he had just been relieved of some cash by someone with a rifle!!! Off we went, only now to have to negotiate our way through the rioters to get to out next point to take photos. All was good, luckily these people were pretty chilled, and day 2 finished without any more excitement (thank goodness).

Day 3 - RAIN! Spent the day in a constant drizzle. Not to have that put a damper on things, we got the job done and arrived in Durban as planned, photos bagged, and another Dusi under the belt.

There is never a dull moment on our shoots. Dave and I always find the time for a laugh while shasing whoever we are photographing. Looking for to Dusi 2025 .....

Kudos to all the paddlers that finished!!

The Drak Challenge 2024 from a different angle ... We were lucky to have great weather over the weekend, although the water levels unfortunately didn't allow the paddlers to start from Castleburn on day 2, which was a downer as the upper section is the most photogenic! However, i believe a great 30th Drak was had by all ...
