Jeremy Glyn Photography

Jeremy Glyn Photography I am a full time professional photographer, based in Gauteng. There are few projects I can’t handle, and I can shoot for most clients’ needs.

I am a full time professional photographer, Johannesburg born and bred, trading as a sole proprietor, specializing in Corporate, Event, Social and Industrial photography with a strong leaning to Public Relations and Media photography in general and Portraiture specifically. Starting off with a 12 exposure roll of film and a Kodak Retina IIIC handed down from my Grandfather in 1984, I’ve been const

antly involved in photography for over 3 decades. At school, I joined the Johannesburg based St John’s College’s Photography Club and shot extensively for their school magazine. During this period I also attended night time photographic courses at Phototeach hosted by Struan Robertson, Michael Goldblatt, Peter Magubane and others. After Matriculating from Damelin College in ‘87, I studied for my three year National Diploma in Photography (NDP3) at the Technicon Pretoria, being awarded Student of the Year by the South African Institute of Photographers in 1990 for my A-graded thesis and portfolio specializing in Corporate Environmental Portraiture. After a short internship with Style Magazine, I began working as a freelancer for the Financial Mail (and later also for The Sunday Times and Business Times) doing most of the photography for their surveys, supplements and periodicals for well over 20 years. I’ve slowly gathered a large client base over the years, companies both large and small, mostly in the corporate, mining, and public relations fields. I travel when required both locally and abroad and adjust my diary as best I can to accommodate my clients needs. I seldom take leave (luckily my clients do) and always try my best to be available whenever needed. I am known for my personalized and professional approach, my lack of red tape that plagues this industry, very reasonable rates and a quick turnaround time for all work. Please see the examples of my work undertaken over the past few years, on this website. When not working, I spend time on my small farm in Walkerville, South of Johannesburg, trying to grow anything from pumpkins to garlic and a variety of other veggies with varying degrees of success, and involve myself in various local charitable causes when I can. I mostly spend a lot of time with my young son Alister, my best friend, muse and favourite photographic model.

The great comedian, W.C. Fields, is credited with the line, “Never work with children or animals.” Why not, it’s fun! Record your life with images not taken with a cell phone at the end of a Selfie Stick.

Groups are never easy. Due to the removal of staff from their workspace, time is of the essence. I want the best shot I can get, yet still have your staff back at work within minutes. And get those smiles required.

From one hour presentations to multi day conferences, I’ll record your event for posterity. From the table settings to the cuisine, from the key note address to the awards handover, to the embarrassing pix at the end of the evening that are sometimes best deleted…
