I was born in South Africa in the city of Durban. I lived there all my life. I loved teaching kids, kids who could hear, later kids who could not. I enjoyed every bit of it. Until one day something changed.! I had to leave to the United Kingdom, London. A fresh start.
A fresh start is always needed, its strange at the beginning, but I got used to it. I taught in London for 2 years. Some of the kids were crazy, but I survived. I enjoyed the country, saw other cities. After 2 years it was time to return to South Africa, not knowing what I would do!!
I decided to move to Johannesburg. The city of Gold, they say. I kept looking for gold for almost 3 months but unfortunately there was no gold! I was ready to pack my bags and go home, back to Durban. But miracles happen. I found gold.
I went to the interview. The job was not a teaching job. It was a camera assistant. I remember the first question until this day. " Do you know how to operate a camera?" My reply, yes a handy cam. I guess that was the correct answer. I got the job with training. It was a long 3 years of training on the job. That's how my new journey started.
Now, I am a camera operator, video editor.
My work began to take me to many places, sometimes nice, other times not so nice. As I traveled through my new experiences, I also began to develop an eye for taking pictures, which I currently love as well. I began to take pictures wherever I went, which left me with loads of pics .
The idea of documenting the stories behind every picture I took, chased me for many many years and finally, here I am, sharing it with you!
