When I met Shanice, it wasn’t some big, dramatic moment. It was simple. But something about her stayed with me. She wasn’t the kind of person who opened up easily—you could see she had been through things. So I didn’t rush her.

At first, we were just… talking. Laughing sometimes. Sitting in silence other times. You probably captured those moments—the small ones. The real ones.

It wasn’t perfect. We had our share of misunderstandings. There were days she pulled away, days I didn’t get things right. I won’t lie to you—it would’ve been easier to walk away at times.

But I didn’t.

And she didn’t either.

That’s what made it different.

She taught me patience. Taught me that love isn’t about having all the right words—it’s about staying, even when things feel uncertain. And me… I just tried to be someone she could feel safe with. Not perfect, just real.
