On a recent wildlife tour, we were parked on a bridge checking out the river below, when this moose approached and decided to cross. No matter how many moose we see, observing them never gets old. They’re one of those creatures that look like they sprung out of the pages of a kids’ storybook.

Old Fort Point is located just 2 km outside of the Jasper townsite. It offers excellent payoff, including scenic views and the possibility of wildlife viewing.

If you spot wildlife, remember to maintain a distance of at least 30 metres from deer, elk, moose or sheep, and 100 metres from bears, wolves and cougars.
