30 Days of Motivation
Day 4 of 30

Happy Friday fans

I was invited by Scenic Steps to take part in this 30‑day motivation challenge, sharing one photo every day that brings calm, strength or a moment of peace.

Today’s photo was taken at sunrise from Whernside, looking across towards Pen‑y‑Ghent. I’ve done the Yorkshire 3 Peaks many times, so it wasn’t about counting or chasing summits, just being out there, about 15 miles away, watching the light break through the clouds. Moments like this remind me why I keep going back: the views, the quiet, and the feeling that every morning brings something new.

My little story/comment for today:

Seeing Pen‑y‑Ghent glowing in the distance made me think about how powerful it is to simply keep moving. Even when you’re not chasing a record or ticking off peaks, the journey still gives you moments that lift you. This sunrise was one of them, a reminder that sometimes the reward isn’t at the finish, it’s in the view along the way.

30 Days of Motivation
Day 3 of 30

Happy Thursday fans

I was invited by Scenic Steps to take part in this 30‑day motivation challenge, sharing one photo every day that brings calm, strength or a moment of peace.

Today’s photo is from my Yorkshire 30 challenge, taken while training for my Coast to Coast in April 2027. I saw something I’ve never witnessed before, a rainbow and the moon at the same time, with the sun going down behind me. It reminded me that there’s always something new waiting out there, something you’d never see if you stopped too soon. Moments like this only appear when you keep moving forward.

My little story/comment for today:
This was one of those moments that made me pause. A moon and a rainbow together, something I’ve never seen in my life. It made me realise how much beauty you miss if you give up early. Keep going, even when you’re tired, because the world still has surprises waiting for you.
