Goodmorning everyone!✨📸
I wanted to hop on here and make a check-in post. As many of you know I’ve taken a step back from shooting this winter in order to give myself some time to rest and prepare for this next season of jnicholasphotos! 🪩🎉
Recently I’ve began shooting a few basketball games, and they have been such a big success! While sports are not my niche, it’s definitely a fun experience. It feels so rewarding to capture special moments in these athletes’ high school career.
Behind-the-scenes, I’ve been perfecting my senior representative program! Back in January I met with my class of 2026 senior representatives to catch up with them and discuss a game plan of how we want to continue this year. We worked together and picked out some dates for our next shoots that work for the majority, we brain stormed ideas. I got some insight to how they’ve been enjoying this year as a rep, and some things we could all work on in order to make this program a positive experience for everyone. I’m super excited to shoot with them soon, and I know you all will love our next shoot concept! 🖤💛
Looking forward, I put out my Class of 2027 senior representative applications! I had a total of 30 applicants this year. Truly, I am so thankful. I’m headed into my third year providing a senior rep experience, and I never would’ve thought I’d be scheduling interviews for 30 girls. While this program is not perfect, it is fun, it is intentional, and it’s to build each other up while creating meaningful friendships with those you wouldn’t see often. During the first few interviews I held yesterday, the main reason people have applied was to have nice photos taken, meet new people, and to build their self confidence. I’m filled with gratitude that these applicants view my program as a way to do just that. That right there is my goal. Today, I meet with upcoming seniors via zoom call from 1-8pm, and I am truly so excited to chat with each and every one of them! While I absolutely wish I could handle a group of 30, I hope to shoot with every single applicant regardless of how the team turns out.
My most exciting news is that I will be traveling for multiple shoots this year! I will be traveling to Ohio State University, West Virginia, Pittsburgh PA, New Orleans and Florida!🎭🌴
Apart from that, I have been honing in on my editing skills, looking up tutorials left and right, and I’ve been working on a branding session for a local piercer, cosmetic tattoo artist, and lovely female business owner, Jennica Rose Beauty! I’ll be wrapping up that gallery later this week, and I am so excited to showcase it. I love getting to meet with other female business owners. It is so inspiring, and so important to form these connections. I’m so excited!
