A handshake during the veteran welcome at BWI on September 19, 2026. Beyond the aircraft and ceremonial salutes, it is the moments between people that stay with me.

A morning of sails and rigging along Baltimore’s waterfront. ⛵

These photographs from June 30, 2026 bring together a schooner under sail, a tall ship approaching, and the details around its bow. I like how each view tells a different part of the harbor’s story.

A closer look at the Blue Angels over Baltimore. ✈️

Looking back at June 26, 2026, with three views from the same afternoon: the tight diamond formation, smoke trails overhead, and a banking pass. It is the changing angles that make photographing an air show so rewarding.

The power outages as of 10:55 pm this evening with the latest severe and heavy rain moving out into the Eastern Shore region

And just like that in 20 minutes Dundalk is down to 118 customers without power. Great job MyBGE

We will be interested in hearing whether there was a tornado in Dundalk last night. As of 8pm tonight there is 629 customers without power. If you are in Dundalk comment below what areas of town are still without power.

Today we saw another round of severe weather. Even hours after the storms rolled through we can still see the hardest hit counties in this image based on data from the State of Maryland. If we zoom in Image 2 shows the hardest hit zip codes. These areas include areas around Ellicott City, MD in Howard County, Southwest Baltimore City and Dundalk, MD. The yellow and orange shaded areas in Image 2 indicate anywhere from 500 to nearing 4, 000 residents without power at this time.
