Wedding Tip Sunday ✨

It’s been a hot summer, and if you’re planning an outdoor wedding, here’s one upgrade I’d absolutely recommend: parasols for your ceremony.

They provide shade, help keep guests comfortable, and photograph beautifully. It’s one of those thoughtful details that elevates the guest experience while adding a soft, elegant element to your wedding design.

Beautiful and practical? That’s always a yes from me. You can find these on sites like Amazon, eBay and Facebook marketplace!

POV: you read your private vows before the ceremony… and suddenly the nerves disappear. 🥹

If you’re on the fence about doing a first look or first touch with private vows, this is your sign.

It gives you a quiet moment together before the day starts moving fast.
No crowd.
No pressure.
Just the two of you soaking it all in.

Some couples cry.
Some laugh the whole time.
Some just hold hands and breathe for a second.

And honestly?
Those moments always end up being some of the most emotional photos from the entire day.

A private vow reading also takes the pressure off during the ceremony so you can stay present instead of trying to remember every word. 🤍

Connor + Madi exploring downtown Frederick for their engagement session 🤍

One of the best things about downtown Frederick is how many different looks you can get without needing multiple locations. Historic streets, greenery, fountains, brick walkways, and tucked away corners all within walking distance.

If you’re planning engagement photos or even wedding portraits in Frederick, it’s such a good option if you want variety in your gallery while keeping the session relaxed and easy. We barely had to walk far to get all of these different vibes ✨

Also a little tip: weekday evenings downtown are usually quieter and give us more space to shoot without a ton of foot traffic in the background.
