I cannot imagine my life without photography. The feeling I get when clients tell me how happy they are with their photos, and how pretty they feel, makes me smile from ear to ear. I strive for that feeling in every photoshoot!

not to be dramatic but I think I just found the prettiest gallery wall frames EVER. 🥹🤎

the dark wood, the beige LINEN matting, the vintage-inspired look?! they’re giving Pottery Barn on a budget and I’m absolutely obsessed.

I immediately grabbed FOUR of the 18x18 frames (all under $30!!!) and one of the smaller 10x12 frames that holds a 4x6 photo.

as a photographer, I’m forever trying to find beautiful ways to get our memories OFF our phones and onto our walls, and these are literally perfect. 🥹

the kind of frames that make even the simplest little everyday memories feel like artwork.

before we even took the first photo, this family had already turned their session into an adventure. 🥹🌊

they traveled down from Washington for their annual Oregon Coast tradition, but this year, dad had planned a little surprise: a family session for his wife as her Mother’s Day gift. 😭🤎

and because both parents are photographers, they knew exactly what they wanted this experience to feel like. not a long afternoon of asking their kids to smile, sit still, and cooperate—but a day they would actually remember.

so they came prepared.

little wooden sailboats to play with on the beach. candy surprises along the way. and tiny treasure chests with telescopes waiting for them at our final location.

with every stop, there was something new to discover. something to look forward to. something that made the whole session feel like THEIR adventure.

and when I tell you these two UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT.

this is exactly what I want family photography to feel like: less pressure to perform, more room to explore, play, get sandy, cuddle their parents, and just be little.

because the magic isn’t in getting everyone to cooperate for a photo. it’s in creating an experience worth remembering and having the photographs to remember it by.

(and as if this family couldn’t get any sweeter, they even brought a bag of thoughtful little gifts for me and my family. are you KIDDING ME. 😭)
