Carmen and Zach’s Day was all about having fun and yes, this crowd understood the assignment!

They were married separately over the summer but wanted to have a full reception to celebrate with the ones they love the most. So that is what we did and it was a good time! This crew knew how to throw down and dance! 💃🏻

I loved all the personal touches, especially the inclusion of their dog, Cooper. Even though he could not attend, he was basically everywhere: on the cake, the large Fat Head displays, on the dance floor and he even had his own mixed drink. Cheers! Congrats to the newlyweds!

With all these gloomy clouds and rain this week, all of a sudden, I am motivated to post this sunshine-filled day. ☀️

I’ve shot several hundred weddings but there was something special about this one. Maybe it was the fact that they were initially going to elope but their plans evolved into an intimate day with immediate family.

Maybe it was because they held it at the place where they’ve spent most of their lives escaping the city, to enjoy the shores and cliffs of the bay. Or because we spent the day hopping around cute historic cabins filled with character (I love character, just ask my husband!) 🙂 Or was it the views? For as long as I’ve lived here, I still can’t quite get used to looking down on the bay from cliffs.

The day was a whole vibe and I was happy that their family was able to experience it with them! 🩷
