The Waugh and Jenkins families are deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Shawn Waugh.
Shawn suffered a heart attack early Thursday morning and passed away shortly afterward. Our hearts are broken by this loss, especially for his wife, Bethany, and their children, Abby, James, and Josiah. We ask that you please keep them in your prayers as they begin the difficult journey of moving forward without him.
As many of you know, Shawn and Bethany spent 19 years serving as missionaries in Papua New Guinea and returned to the United States last year. While they have been working to establish their life here in America, they have not had the opportunity to build the financial resources needed for an unexpected tragedy such as this.
The Churches of Christ in Christian Union have established a fund to help Bethany and the family with funeral, burial, and related expenses. If you feel led to help, we would be deeply grateful for your support and prayers.
