🤍 And I'll tell you that you look “perfect” approximately 47 times during a session. 😂

Weather can change our plans, but it doesn't mean we're out of options.

I'll look at the timeline, find the best available light, scout indoor or covered locations, and adjust where we need to. If there's a break in the rain, we'll make the most of it.

You don't need to spend your wedding day worrying about the forecast or figuring out how we'll make your photographs work.

Your job is to enjoy the day, love on your people, and make the memories. I'll take care of preserving them. ☔🤍

Hi, I’m Abbie. 🤍

The person behind OKOTA, usually with a camera in hand and probably talking way too much about pretty light. 😂

I started photographing weddings as a teenager, and somehow what started all those years ago turned into the business, creative studio, and life I have today.

These days, I photograph weddings throughout Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, and wherever love takes me. But photography is only part of what I love about this work.

I love the details. The design. The people. The little moments nobody planned for. The beautiful things someone spent months choosing. The grandmother’s earrings. The handmade invitation. The flowers. The way someone looks at their person when they think nobody is watching.

I think that’s why OKOTA has grown into more than photography. I’ve always loved creating the whole visual story, not just documenting one piece of it.

But behind all of that, I’m still just Abbie. 😊

A photographer who genuinely loves weddings, loves making things, loves meeting new people, and feels pretty lucky that this is what I get to do for a living.

I could photograph invitations all day. 🤍

The paper, the texture, the layers, the ribbon, the little details that make a suite feel completely unique to the couple. There’s so much to notice before you even get to the wedding day.

And then... a fun little fact about these particular invitations:

We designed them. 👀✨

Every suite you’re seeing here was created through NOTE by OKOTA, our fine-art stationery studio.

So yes, I may be photographing the invitation suite...

But sometimes I’m also the one who designed the artwork, chose the papers, layered the materials, selected the ribbon, and figured out all the little details that make it feel like them.

That’s one of my favorite parts of OKOTA Collective. I don’t always have to step into the story once everything is finished. Sometimes I get to help create the pieces that become part of it, too. 🤍
