Stormwater Studios Gallery Feature: The Windows Wall. They’re portals to the past, and memories that you might or might not have actually experienced, but that you definitely still have. “Retrospective” is 1940s Manhattan; or is it University Hill? “Century Marks” is classic Georgetown; or is it Greenville? “Crown Jewels” is vintage tropical; or is it Myrtle Beach? And “Rosie the Riveted” is Old West; or is it Winnsboro?

Don’t just look through- GO through the connections of time when you come to see Perspectives on the Timeless: A Photography Exhibition by Ambrotype Visuals at Stormwater tomorrow, the last day, 11am-3pm!

Stormwater Studios Gallery Feature: Railcar Decor. What’s a timeless gallery without timeless accents? These Lionel O-27 gauge cars embody collective memories of little boys, Christmas trees, movies, and adult hobbyists who are just bigger and older little boys at heart. The Soo Line used to rumble through the artist’s hometown of Deerfield, the Morton Salt building is still prominent next to the Kennedy Expressway in Chicago, and the Chessie System is the one everyone recognizes for the cat, and its east coast presence. All three are bygone rail logos now, or are they?

Get nostalgic in the present and visit Perspectives on the Timeless: A Photography Exhibition by Ambrotype Visuals at Stormwater on or before May 31. Reminder- you can meet me TODAY from Noon to 2PM at Meet the Artist! at "Perspectives on the Timeless: A Photography Exhibition by Ambrotype Visuals". See you there!

Stormwater Studios Gallery Feature: The Chicago Wall. Not the first thing your eyes see, but the closest when you walk in, is the Chicago entry wall. Complemented by three major images from South Carolina on the other sides, the atrium more completely represents my origins and present as an artist. "Reticulating Splines" shows the unique eternity of Marina City and is sandwiched by "Needle and Thread" and "Chicago Generated Image", showing opposing perspectives of the Pink Line and the Loop, the heartbeat of the city. You can't have Chicago without the corncob towers, the river, or the L, and you can't have Ambrotype Visuals without Chicago.

Make the Second City your first choice for art and visit Perspectives on the Timeless: A Photography Exhibition by Ambrotype Visuals at Stormwater on or before May 31. Reminder- you can meet me tomorrow from Noon to 2PM at Meet the Artist! at "Perspectives on the Timeless: A Photography Exhibition by Ambrotype Visuals". See you there!

Stormwater Studios Gallery Feature: Opposite Sides of the Moving Wall. One of my first to earn recognition, one of my most recent snapshots. The railroad, the residential. Some nature, some constructed. Vibrant colors, powerful contrasts. In motion, still life. Aluminum pop, sophisticated presentation. "Jungle Tunnel" and "Black Hole" are opposites in many ways, yet both are among the most defining pieces of the Timeless, showing how the vintage remains in full modern use, and how there's treasure to be found in the most unexpected of settings.

Make sure you and visit Perspectives on the Timeless: A Photography Exhibition by Ambrotype Visuals at Stormwater on or before May 31. In fact, you can meet me tomorrow from Noon to 2PM at Meet the Artist! at "Perspectives on the Timeless: A Photography Exhibition by Ambrotype Visuals"". See you there!

Stormwater Studios Gallery Feature: The Circles Wall. "Holding It Together" is, well, holding it all together with actively aging whiskey. "Heavens to Betsy" transcends Americana by recalling Shoeless Joe Jackson, baseball, and Field of Dreams. "Bang Zoom" literally went straight to the moon on Saturn V and is out of this world. "Collide-O-Scope" unites two worlds, eras, and regions of the country. And "All Trucked Up" was quite the wreck, until it became art. All these have been built, so it is time for you to come, to most definitely come, and see Perspectives on the Timeless: A Photography Exhibition by Ambrotype Visuals at Stormwater on or before May 31!
