Our steel toes are finally scuffed enough to blend in! ⚙️

We’re in our third year of working with NEWmfg to spotlight the people pushing manufacturing forward in Northeast Wisconsin. While we’re already working on the 2027 project, Manufacturing Month felt like the perfect time to look back at the stories we captured in 2026.

Across the region, companies nominate their best: 10 All Stars and 2 All Star Mentors who are setting the bar high. We dig into every nomination and build every interview question with intention. Production takes 5-6 days, shooting at 2 different locations per day. We travel from Mountain to Sheboygan and everywhere in between. We roll in, scout fast, light it up, and shoot interviews with the nominees. We then go straight into portraits and B-roll. The goal is to show these individuals as the innovators and artisans they are.

Post-production is its own beast. There’s a lot you don’t see and a lot that doesn’t make the cut … we’re talking 20-25 minute interviews that are cut down to under 3!

Manufacturing is the backbone of NE Wisconsin, and showcasing it is at the heart of what we do. The All Star Magazine is out, and the films are live on the NEWMA YouTube page. Check out the final results from 2026!

For this one, we skipped the script and started with a conversation 🎥

We’ve worked with Vollrath Foodservice on a number of projects over the years, and the goal of this one was to tell the story behind their partnership with Chef Yia Vang, a James Beard Award-winning chef and owner of Vinai in Minneapolis.

Instead of handing someone a script and asking them to deliver a predetermined story, we started with a conversation. We wanted to hear about Chef’s parents’ journey to America, his childhood, and the experiences that shaped the way he approaches food and his craft today. That conversation became the highlight of our main film.

We used additional footage from shoot day for breakout videos, featuring specific product stories and soundbites. The result was 14 videos from one day of production, plus vertical versions of each. This campaign went on to win a Silver ADDY from AAF Wisconsin (formerly AAF Fox River) for editing, cinematography and branded campaign, along with a Judge’s Choice Award.

As it turns out, sometimes the best script is one you don’t write!

🦷 Seemed like a good time to share this project after spending a few years in the vault.

Throwing it back to when we teamed up with The Karma Group to produce some creative content for Dental City, a dental supply company that knows how to have a little fun.

The concept was “what if a musical was set inside a dental office?”. The goal was a series of videos for dental professionals, which meant the performances needed to be over-the-top. So, our biggest lift was casting. We needed actors who could commit to the absurdity of the concept, and a dental office willing to let a film crew take over for the day, which we found in De Pere when the office was closed to patients.

From there, it was a tight schedule, a solid-sized crew, pre-lit areas, lots of rehearsal, and a whole lot of “okay, let’s do that one again.”

The payoff was completely over-the-top performances that made the whole thing exactly as silly as we wanted it to be. For some reason, these behind-the-scenes photos have been sitting around for a few years without seeing the light of day.

So, here they are … better late than never! 😎

👀 Everyone sees the finished video, but almost nobody sees what it takes to get there.

This shoot started weeks before we arrived in New Orleans. We were virtually scouting locations, checking sun paths, coordinating local crew, booking rental gear, planning B-roll, and building a production schedule that left very little to chance.

Finished videos might look effortless, but there’s a lot happening behind the scenes to make it happen. It takes a whole lot of planning, pre interviews, trust, and teamwork before the cameras start rolling. Here’s a look at what goes into bringing a project to life!

🎞️ Some of the best feedback is hearing that our work feels exactly how the project was imagined from the very beginning.

When Door County Coffee came to us to refresh their brand video, the goal was bigger than showcasing great coffee. It was about capturing the feeling behind the brand and introducing more people to their mail order coffee program.

Over the course of one shoot day, we filmed at both a family home and the cafe, following the journey from coffee delivery to that first morning sip. We wanted to capture the little moments that make coffee part of everyday life. The result was four videos, plus vertical versions of each, focused on the brand story, subscription program, quality, and cafe experience.

One of our favorite parts of the project came after the final delivery, when Allie DeGuelle, Brand Manager for Door County Coffee, shared this: “There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing a creative vision go from an idea in your head to a finished project that feels exactly how you imagined it.”

As a small business ourselves, we understand the trust that comes with representing a family business and bringing not just the visual side of a brand to life, but the story behind it. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help bring Door County Coffee’s story to life!

Most people don’t realize they have a choice, so we built a commercial around it 🎬

We’ve worked with the team for years, creating advertising photography, headshots, and informational video content. This time around, we partnered with their marketing team to create an ad campaign to launch their new surgery center in Appleton. The message behind it all was simple: patients have a choice. That idea became the backbone of the entire commercial.

A few strategy meetings turned into storyboards, talent casting, location scouting, and two full shoot days at , , and inside the surgery center itself. We had to suit up and strip the gear list down to the bare minimum to film in the surgical suite.

The end result was two 30-second commercials and a 15-second mash-up that showcase the personalized care and advanced technology this center is known for. Getting to be part of the creative process from the first conversations all the way through production made this one especially rewarding to work on!

You know those people who casually shape the creative identity of a city? That’s Pat, the creative powerhouse behind some of the coolest spaces in town. He’s equal parts visionary and mad scientist 🧪

When it came time to redo the Drury Designs Inc website the Redfish team led the charge. They tapped us to create new brand visuals, and we wanted everything to feel true to the brand Pat's built: elevated, cinematic, creative, and a little unexpected.

We spent the day shooting portraits and video content for an About Us film and web headers. We ended up submitting the portrait series to the ADDYs and took home gold for color photography!

Gold feels pretty on-brand for this one.

Location scouting isn’t cute, it’s calculated 📍

This was our first shoot with a new client in Door County, so we weren’t about to wing it. They gave us the vibe and told us to run with it, which was cool, but that meant every location had to earn its spot!

We stayed close to Sturgeon Bay, stacking spots that could give us multiple looks, then mapped the sun to plan when each scene would actually work. We saved the woods for midday light, and flipped shorelines to make one stretch of beach feel like multiple locations. All of it was built around how the light actually moves.

Locations matter, but timing is everything!

With this year’s NFL Draft wrapped in Pittsburgh, we’re taking it back to Green Bay 😎

Last April, the draft came to town and the food showed up too! brought in TikTok favorite to taste draft week, Wisconsin style.

Working together with , we were brought in to capture the food experience. Day 3 of the event was spent spotlighting local flavors and Green Bay staples, with planned tastings at spots like Hinterland and Bel Air Cantina, and everything else kept loose so nothing felt forced.

Last year’s NFL Draft, from the inside 🏈

Green Bay’s draft week didn’t start when the lights turned on. It started in the prep work and the trust built over years of working with the team at . With this year’s draft right around the corner, we’re taking a look back at an unforgettable week capturing the fans and the food, along with the economic impact of last year’s event.
