Somewhere between photographer and subject, I decided to put myself in the frame.
A self-portrait inside one of the ancient kivas at Pecos National Historical Park in New Mexico—photographed with an old Hasselblad brought into the digital age with a new digital back.
There’s something I love about that combination: a camera with history, a place with centuries of history, and modern technology letting me experience both in a completely new way.
Sometimes the best photographs happen when you slow down, set up the camera, and step to the other side of the lens.
