Nearing Jenny + Declan’s one year anniversary has got me reminiscing a bit…

1. loved this Holga moment where what some might see as a light leak is what I believe to be Jenny’s bridal radiance filling the frame

2. absolutely adored j+d taking a beat to relax and even waving to the boats passing by after they had their first look

3. I remember daydreaming about these two cutesy red lakeside chairs finding themselves being occupied by the bride and groom for years to come

4. something I don’t think I had seen before: passing the rings around to the guests during the ceremony so they could be covered in prayers, blessings, & encouragement

5. wooden chairs popping off the green lawn (loveeeee a chair upgrade from the standard foldouts)

6. dad with the bouquet (always a favorite instance to snap)

7. a dance floor made of vintage rugs

8. the sweethearts tablecloth dancing in the wind

&&& just an overall perfect backyard wedding day for two of the most genuine souls!!! ❣️

So many showery spring days lately and it has me wanting to talk about rain on a wedding day. ~gasp~

I actually feel like sometimes that one unwanted event can open up the chance to some of the most endearing moments + photographs.

I have found it to be when we show just how human we really are; bridesmaids opting to go barefoot, some guests huddled under shared umbrellas while others fully embrace the elements, letting drops of water rest on your veil, and everyone as a group rolling with the weather because (rain or shine) there’s a couple worth celebrating. 💧🤍

Hello there, I’m Loreal! Been meaning to show my face again for awhile now, feels like I’ve seen handfuls of new people joining along in these last few weeks. I’m coming off of a very busy kickstart to spring, with weddings every weekend. It’s been such a joy + truly can’t wait to share all the love I’ve been lucky enough to document.

In the meantime you might find me picking up another new-to-me film camera I don’t need, chasing with my two wild boys, sneaking in a date night with my husband, or being lost in the editing cave. 🫶🏼

Sharing a handful of toy camera film snaps from O+J’s day at Laurel Hall while we wait for the Super 8 to return. It isn’t terribly often I get invited into the day where video is my sole focus, but it is always such a delightful experience getting to shift the order of my usual wedding day mediums. (and if you know me, I of course had to pack an extra camera or two; so here are the results of that hoarding habit! 😋)
