Where it all started, 13 years ago. 8 year old me would’ve never expected how much shed hunting has taken over my life😅

Kiarra’s first, and second antelope! She had never antelope hunted before but you’d have thought she was a veteran.

Early on Day 1 we snuck in on a few different groups and decided to pass on the smaller bucks. A couple of hours later we turned up this guy running with 5 other bucks and immediately noticed his heavy, wide frame. Kiarra decided he was the one and settled in at 250 yards for a picture-perfect heart shot!

We still had a doe tag to fill on Day 2, and got after it right at first light. After crawling in on a herd of 50, we waited almost a half an hour for this big doe to give Kiarra the right shot. It finally turned broadside at 230 yards and the shot hit exactly where her last one did.

Textbook shot placement and two antelope down🙌

One of the most incredible moments in the elk woods! Robert Albers called at this bull for a while before he finally committed to seeing what we were and working his way into range. Doesn’t get any better than outsmarting an old bull👊

Shooting the biggest mule deer of my life! Looking back on this hunt is a good reminder of how it can all come together when you least expect it. I spent 31 days mule deer hunting and it came down to the last day for me to find the buck I was after. Such a grind and such a relief to finally get it done!
