I’m a mom, wife, photographer, and potter living in Lawrence, KS. I’ve been photographing weddings in Kansas since 2014, and what started as a side-gig passion project has now turned into my main hustle (other than taking care of my hilarious and beloved one-year-old). I have loved building a community of clientele not only for weddings, but for sessions capturing all of life’s special moments, in

cluding birth! I LOVE my clients and am so grateful to them all for getting me to where I am today, and I am always excited to meet new people and start capturing their walk of life. I hope that if you’re reading this, you’ll let me join in on yours too!

Sent out my last wedding (for who knows how long!) yesterday. Katie and Jordan made the day so relaxed, the details were lovely, and there were many moments of happy and heartfelt tears. It was a perfect way to tie up my wedding photography journey for a bit. 🤍 Congratulations, Jordan and Katie! I hope this first month of married life has been the absolute best!

I haven’t been as active on social media lately - life has been busy and full and I’ve been trying to stay a little more present in it. One of the biggest developments is that we’re expecting another girl in mid-October to complete our little Rudeen girl gang! We’re all so excited to meet her, but given the timing of her arrival, this does impact my photography a bit.

That being said, I have decided to no longer photograph weddings for the foreseeable future, which is a bit of a scary and bittersweet feeling! I’ve loved shooting weddings these last 12 years (and am SO grateful to the clients who have trusted me to capture their special day), but the time feels right to let this part of my business go and instead focus on smaller sessions and births as we transition to a family of five. I will still be offering family, newborn, maternity, and birth sessions!

Since I will be on maternity leave in the prime of family photo season, I will be offering several days of mini sessions to hopefully accommodate all of you who might be looking for updated photos! Tentatively those dates are 9/12, 9/13, 9/19, and 9/20. Sessions are $200 for 25 minutes and 15 edited photos. I may add additional dates depending on interest!

If you would like to do a mini session, send me a message and I’ll send a link to sign up! I will also be offering my full family sessions, but my availability for these will be limited. I was so thrilled when I found out Breanna and Tom we’re going to be welcoming a little one, and it was such a joy to meet baby Harper in person last week! She was every bit as lovely and adorable as I expected. 🥰 Congratulations, Breanna and Tom - you two are already amazing parents!

Between graduating pharmacy school (both of them!), prepping to move to a new state, getting married, and going on an international honeymoon all within a few weeks (I think I missed something too in this list), you could say these two have had a month for the books! If I were in their shoes, I would have been a ball of anxiety, but these two were absolutely lovely and fun to work with every step of the way. Congratulations, Maddie and Connor!! You two are true gems and I’m so happy for you both as you start this new chapter of life together!

We were beyond excited when we found out Josh and Kady were gonna have another baby, and that Delilah would become a big sister! To go from growing up in the same small town and going to high school together, to later moving to the same city and becoming friends as adults, and now raising kids at the same time has become a true joy. Congratulations, Carsons, on your beautiful family!! Graham is a gem. 🫶🏻

Between moving out of our house for renovations and dealing with sick kiddos I’ve been a little off my usual posting game for recent sessions, but I wanted to share some highlights from Matt an Emily’s lovely wedding last weekend! They were incredibly lucky with their 70 degree spring day, considering the next day dropped to 12 degrees with harsh winds (hello Kansas). I couldn’t have asked for a better first wedding of the year - the bride and groom were so relaxed, and was as usual a lovely space to celebrate in. Congratulations, Emily and Matt!! Thanks for letting me capture your day. 💛
