My friends say I'm pretty spunky, but I'm all about having fun and capturing life's most precious memories.

If you’ve been around since the beginning of Camryn Lee Creative (all the way back when it was Camryn’s Creations Co), I started this little business to find my creativity again after battle intense grief and depression following the death of my dad. I started with hand lettering, moved into some water color painting, did some cross-stitch, wood working, and pretty much anything I could get my hands on to share with people! Like a true 4-H Alum, I never really shied away from Arts & Crafts! I picked up my camera and found a passion for photography in 2018, which is what drove my business for the last 8 years. At the beginning of the year, I scheduled a brachioplasty (loose skin removal surgery on the upper arms) for the beginning of summer & knew I was not going to be able to work for a good 5-6 weeks so I was a little nervous about what I would be able to do with my time - again if you know me, you know that I DON’T SIT STILL!! In March I picked up Needlepoint and it has quickly grown into an obsession/healthy coping mechanism. I absolutely love finding a piece that reminds me of someone, stitching it, & gifting it to them. It makes my heart so happy! On this page you’ll start to see more snippets of my life that help me to be creative in all avenues, getting back to my roots. Cheers to CREATING again in 2026 & beyond! šŸ’–šŸ©µ

I couldn’t find a picture for 2024, but it was another great day at the CMS Career Day! I love getting to talk about business (yes, we did a little bit of math & algebra!!!), life, and photography with these middle schoolers! It’s so fun to be able to look back and see all the changes throughout the years! 🩵🩵

Four years ago, I realized that I actually wanted to live. It seems silly to write out those words now, because don’t we all? But the truth is, from 2016 to 2021, I spent the majority of my days trying to fathom the point of it all.

Losing my dad at 18 fundamentally wrecked me. There will never be an exact point in which I am ā€œpast itā€ or ā€œover itā€. Grief is a living emotion. It molds & bends with our life, always tagging along for the journey. In happiness & in sadness, I exist in this bubble of loss. It expands with me, every new person in my life will know about my dad because he will forever be a part of me. Every person in my life who knew him will still talk about him & we all laugh & smile, knowing he brought so much joy to our lives.

But when you’re 18 & you find yourself in this bubble, all you want to do is escape its confines because it doesn’t feel like growth, it feels like suffocation. Navigating another 10, 20, 40+ years within this bubble? That’s beyond comprehension. All you can do is put one foot in front of the other and pray one day you’ll be able to look up to find your old self again. But that’s the catch 22 - you’ll never be the same again.

In 2022, I was forced to sit with myself & evaluate what I wanted out of life. I had a strange feeling, one that felt all too familiar & all too foreign at the same time. I was talking about the future, growing old, & having a long life. Then I realized that if I was going to live, I couldn’t do it in the body I was in. Doing things I loved to do was becoming increasingly difficult. I stepped on the scale, saw 290 & thought ā€œI can NOT see a number that starts with 3.ā€

I didn’t have an exact number I was trying to hit, because my goal became ā€œliving.ā€ I didn’t want my weight define me, a challenge that I’ve had since I was in the 3rd grade when I realized I was bigger than all of my classmates. I decided to move more, eat less, let go of perfection, & just take it one day at a time with making better decisions. I’m no mathematician but what’s that saying about compounded interest?

Suddenly, four years flew by. I was living. I’m proud of choosing to fight through every mental & physical battle.
