I have been looking forward to this senior session!

Gabby is such an amazing young woman. She has this energy about her that is so warm and welcoming. She’s so confident, completely herself, and I love her personal sense of style. I also had never photographed a color guard uniform before, and I LOVED it—the colors, the movement… all of it!

But this session was extra special to me for another reason.

A little back-story…(Pun intended)

Around the time our family was preparing for our Gabby’s scoliosis surgery—and we were understandably terrified—a friend connected me with this Gabby’s mom. Her Gabby had gone through the same surgery, with the same surgeon, at the same age as mine.

We connected over the phone, and Gabby and her mom were gracious enough to meet with me and my Gabby in person before her surgery. I will never forget that day.

They instantly made us feel like we had known them forever. They answered our questions, shared their experience, gave us so much solid advice and, more than anything, gave us reassurance during a time when we desperately needed it.

I can still picture Gabby sitting there so tall and proud, with that beautiful smile on her face no matter what we talked about. I remember leaving that meeting thinking, What a solid young woman.

To this day, I often refer to the two of them as a literal gift that fell into our laps at exactly the moment we needed it most. They are two of the kindest people I have ever met, and I will always be grateful for what they gave our family during that season of our lives.

So getting to have this beautiful girl in front of my camera for her SENIOR pictures felt so special.

Gabby, you are just as wonderful now as I remember you being then. It was truly an honor to capture this season of your life.

There is something extra special about this one...
Watching Collins grow up through my lens has been such an honor—from her newborn session, all of those tiny session- to this beautiful milestone… her First Communion

And to capture it at St. Peter Catholic Church… a place that holds so many of my own family memories… it just makes it all the more meaningful.

Collins, you are pure grace and sweetness, and this season of your life is so special. I’m beyond grateful to be a small part of your story 🤍

Another one that I had time walking away from...(especially when I realized that the floors were heated in the master bath)

A beautifully maintained 3 bed, 2.5 bath ranch in Utica Community Schools that just feels like home the second you walk in. From the hardwood floors and cozy living room with built-ins, to the gorgeous kitchen with LaFata cabinetry—every detail has been so thought out and well cared for.

The primary suite is a dream, and the backyard is one of my favorite parts… a private brick paver patio with no neighbors behind you.

And I have to say—working with Katie is amazing. She goes above and beyond for her clients, and it truly shows in homes like this.
