im all about the photo where everyone is looking and smiling. i am… those photographs are important. i get it!

but the moments have me. the moments are where my heart lives…

there is something almost impossible to wrap my heart around about a photograph… the second i press the button, that moment is already becoming something that once was… none of it stays exactly this way. 😭

we grow… we change… life keeps moving forward… time is the ultimate gift - and maybe that’s why i’ve always felt so deeply about photography.

photography + videography give us this tiny, beautifully heartbreaking way of reaching backward… y’all have heard me say it countless times before, but photos and videos bridge the gap between what once was and what will never be again… and because of them, we get to hold on to a moment a lil while longer 🧡

We were SO glad the rain held off/passed for this sweet extended family session!
We were closely monitoring the radar and rain was being forecasted for their time haha- we just decided welllll we are gonna go for it!
So glad we did!

Alicia and her little family holds a very dear place in our hearts!! So we were beyond excited to see her beautiful face again!!
And their big family— soooo funny - so sweet - just a perfect family 🥹 made my husband and I feel like one of them!!

5yrs ago chase first got to document these two… and this time around, they brought the cutest lil addition with them 🥹😍

i tagged along for this one and was VERY committed to letting chase do his thing. i only stole the camera from him 1 ina half times 😂 (the last photo lol)

but the real win for me?! somehow earning knuckles from lil E by the end of the session!!! absolutely made my night… especially after chase got them immediately (i swear everyone loves him way more than me 🤣)

there’s just something really special about being able to document folks again years later and seeing all the life that’s happened in between!!! 🧡

getting to photograph seniors i’ve watched grow up will never not make me a lil emotional 🥹

will’s was an extra special one... i’ve known and adored his family for years… and his dad was actually the very first person i ever hired for my business… my CPA. thank GOD for him. 😂

all these years later, getting to document will’s senior session feels like one of those sweet lil full circle moments!

We are so excited for these, and there will also be an excavator on site in the event families want something a little different!

These sessions will be held at a small horse farm in Carrsville Virginia; address will be given after booking!

Absolutely no riding/getting on the horses - and no “horse-play” 😂 Petting is allowed, but do so at your own risk. The home owner will be present during the sessions, and an animal-safety and liability waiver will be required.

i recently got to meet up with some of my childhood friends and document their extended family again 🥹

there are a whole lotta years + memories between us… road trips… sports… school… family… sleepovers… and probably more than a few decisions that only make sense when you’re a kid 😂 eek!

and now somehow… we’re the grown-ups. with kids of our own.

seeing their “babies” again was one of those jarring reminders of just how sneaky time is… how the years keep moving, and those memories that once felt like everyday life get further + further behind us… i may have gotten a lil emotional.

what a gift to have people who knew you then… and to get to witness who we’re all becoming now. 🧡

we kept looking at each other during this sunrise session saying - ‘what in the world is going on with the sun this morning?’ it looked so wild, and we had no clue why until later in the day… the air quality alerts started rolling in, and then we realized. my heart has been so heavy for everyone affected by the fires + smoke. it’s all just so sad and scary 🧡

meanwhile… amanda conveniently forgot to mention to tyler there was about a 10 outta 10 chance he’d end up in the water 😂 we had so much fun - and that last shot is the moment the wave came in and spun amanda around when she was trying to pose - her reaction was so adorable!

I grew up with Aaron - he was my best friends little kid brother! The annoying little boy that followed us everywhere haha and nowww hes all grown! Time flies!
